Julene Reed and I are teaching a workshop at NECC on global

collaboration, and I've set up a series of resources to demonstrate

during this class. I hope that these resources will live on as people

become interested in sharing resources used to teach global awareness

Middle of May

For teachers, the middle of May is about getting ready for finals, grades, and that eternal vacation.

For those of us in administration (at least the technology part of it), the middle of May is about budgets, upgrades, and that eternal stretch of time when we can walk into the schools and fix something without being distracted by questions from teachers.

Apple Blossoms and new principals

As I was on my way to school this morning, I was admiring all the trees in blossom. I especially like the trees with the bright pink

10 days and counting

Well, we've got approximately 10 days of school left. I am one of the lucky few who will have a few extra hours of time since my seniors have left the building. I plan to use that time to consolidate my resources and downsize from 2 classrooms to 1. I don't have to float classrooms anymore! I will be firmly ensconced in the Classroom of Tomorrow for all of my classes next year. What a relief. I will be teaching a new curriculum to the seniors next year and plan to use a few of those hours…

Technology is cool, but teachers are cooler

These are the words printed on the back of my Tom Snyder Productions t-shirt. When I worked for this educational software company providing professional development for teachers, we ended all of our workshops with this quote.
