I know that many schools block YouTube and make quality content inaccessible for teachers and students. If it's something you want to incorporate into your instructional lesson, one thought might be to use something like ZamZar.com as a tool to copy the url of the video and have it emailed to you. That will allow you to play the video offline and as a .mov file on your desktop. That's one thought. The other is to work with your district technology folks to open access to certain urls. Thanks for your comment. It is a concern I heard a lot at NECC, not only with YouTube, but with Ning, blogs, Flickr, etc.
