I'd second what Garrison suggested, and also recommend PhotoStory if you're simply connecting together a number of static images with some narration dubbed over.

If I'm hearing you correctly, sounds like they could make each storyboard "page" on any doc (Word, ppt, etc.), then upload those to VoiceThread, which lets them do voice-overs. It's free and less complicated than making movies.

- This is my 8th year teaching at Yew Chung International School of Beijing. The first five years I taught Year 5/Grade 4 and then moved to Year 4/Grade 3 using the National Curriculum of Great Britain.
After being introduced to the world of Web 2.0 five years ago I decided to pursue my Masters in Integrated Technology graduating from Walden University in December 2010. I want to use all of my knowledge to encourage students and teachers to become travellers in this amazing world.

Podcasting for Beginners

Hi all,
I know that so many of you podcast and so I am going to the experts. I need a few resources that will help me learn how to podcast with my Grade 4 students. It was one of the goals I set for myself this year and it is the only one that I have not done. I honestly don't know where to start and I know there are great resources out there. I guess what I need is a sort of "Podcasting for Dummies". I have learned much over the years from the "..for Dummies" books.

Flickr Help needed

Good morning from Beijing.
We are 10 days into the Chinese New Celebration with only 5 days to go. Why do I mention that? Because it has been relatively quiet at nights except for the 5th and the 10th nights when fireworks again burst on the scene. Now we just have to wait for the 15th day (night) for the Lantern Festival which marks the official end of the celebration with another round of hours of fireworks until around midnight. Then there will be blessed peace again.… Continue

Grade 4 Children are Fantastic

Today I decided to ask my Grade 4 students what they wanted to learn about in IT and about computers. I thought I would start small in an area I am working on myself and see what they wanted rather than doing what I think they want or should know.

- Hello Heather, yes I am getting excited about the conference. First I go to Nanjing no 1 school to help there for a few days as we have a group of students from our state staying there for 6 weeks. I havent done second life before, but I know I should get involved. Always fearful that I will get lost!! When do we enrol for sessions? Do you know? Or do we all just attend the same sessions?

My two sons, who work in London are going to the games.I am going to Shanghai for a Learn2.0 conference in Sept and hope to meet some people who might collaborate on projects for our school. Our students learn mandarin at school as their language other than English. I am from Australia
