From my experience, I get more spam through my work and personal emails, despite all the firewalls, especially at work.
I am finding that those who email through my 'myspace' are those who really wish to be involved in the charity, want more information, wish to join, wish to donate, or are just willing to help spread the word. After 4 weeks not one email that was not of interest - no spam.
Sometimes you do find the…

I have spent this summer learning so much about blogging, wikis, and all the other Web 2.0 stuff. I am so excited to start the school year and integrate all these wonderful things into my teaching. All this research started because I am teaching a workshop at
MITC in October. My original plans for the presentation have changed slightly, but I think it will be OK. I am hoping to spend more time on these Web 2.0 tools than I had originally…

Myspace
How did I get involved?
Living with my teenage sons and 18 year old god daughter, I thought I should check out what they were talking about. It was all yet an other language to learn, if I was to communicate with them.
Why did I set up a myspace?
I am on the committee of the only charity in this country…

I just posted on
my blog about some tools I found that would make a great mashup trio for doing group research. Would love to hear your thoughts/comments/ideas when you have time!

Well, I'm at the tail end of a course that I'm taking at USM and have learned more than I thought possible about web 2.0 tools. At times this week I had so many projects going, wiki, blog, my own web page on
classroom 2.0 as well as adding information to our district's Drupal site and
creating a class using Moodle and and and....
I feel like I'm traveling the yellow brick road of the Internet, encountering
intimidating and at times daunting forests…

You should get a bit of a feel for my politics by viewing the images I've uploaded to this page. Enjoy and dialog about what you see.

I've spent 35+ years as a special education teacher. Each year I find that the more I use technology to support, bridge, overcome learning issues in my students, the more I and others see what they can do. The "dis" falls away from abled and they succeed. I wish I had learned this sooner.

I´ll be in Amsterdam from 12 - 19 August 2007 to learn about video and audio use in the classroom. I look forward to my stay there, hoping to learn a bit more about teaching CALL. The course is Comenius funded and the program looks very promising. My profile on the left hand side should tell you a little bit more about myself and my interests, although the personal part is rather scarce. I wonder if you can say this in English?

On my learning blog The Sausage Machine I blogged in Dutch about the Bible in 2.0-presentations ... In fact I wrote two blog posts about the Bible.
1. The Bible 2.0 in a rather light version:
- as an audio book in 'Hollywood musical style' (as my source Tony Dokoupil in Newsweek uses the attributive 'chintzy') and
- as SMS-Bible, I found on an Australian website via Tony Dokoupil in his very interesting and 'light' review in…

While sharing the
Intel® Teach Program in Savannah Georgia this week, I was informed of and invited to join Classroom 2.0. After reviewing the site, I realized the concepts, ideas, and concerns were similar to my own. My thanks to Kevin and Tammy for inviting me.
I really enjoyed my time in Savannah - And I even thought the downpour was cool. While dining at the river, a great thunderstorm began. I learned what flooded intersections are…

Okay, so this is my first Classroom 2.0 blog entry, and I can't even concentrate because I'm haunted by that eerie silhouette of "not me". Stay tuned for a real photo, because that image simply won't do.

There does seem to be some evidence that shows US schools are starting to lose competitive edge internationally.
"A
swiftly rising number of American workers at every skill level are in
direct competition with workers in every corner of the globe. While our
international counterparts are increasingly getting more education,
their young people are getting a better education as well. American
students and young adults place anywhere from the middle to the…

Beginning July 23rd, I am launching YouthLAB and would love for you to check in at our site which is www.youthlab.net. We are doing online collaborative cinema and global exchange. I think it contributes to the growing knowledge about the power of WEB 2.0 to spark learning, civic engagement and cross-cultural understanding using their own digital native cultures.

I gave a try to the
slidy slideshow solution, to publish a slideshow directly in the browser, using web 2.0 technologies (in fact, strictly javascript -- see also
S5, by Eric Meyer). The result is not bad at all... at least when viewing it on my large screen mac.

The young lady is my daughter, the absolute LOVE of my life...she's giving a swimming lesson here, because at one time she was one of the fastest of her kind on the face of the planet, and the dolphin would do well to listen carefully...the other is my summer 'hobby'...building Adirondack furniture...and this is not ordinary stuff, folks...I drive to Beaver, Utah (3 hours south...) and have the LOGS sawn up individually and planed to 1" thickness 200 to 300 board feet at a time, then I drive it…
