Creating Documentaries in the Classroom

It's too long to crosspost, but if anyone's interested I'm doing a series about creating classroom documentaries over on my blog. It's something I've been doing for a couple of years now--Time consuming, but the learning that goes on is amazing. I'm also giving a link to all my handouts.

Flex to create learning resources

Started learning Flex. I had stayed away from Actionscript in the past. As the software I write tend to require a gui interface, I was not much enthused by the timeline and movie clip analogies.

With the move to AS3 (a proper OO language) and the introduction of a XUL like language to rapidly define the interface elements, they got me seriously consider taking the time to learn actionscript. After a few weeks looking into it,… Continue

A new start

I'm returning to the classroom soon. I spent the last year as a consultant on school change, and before that 2 years as a substitute teacher while I was doing my MA in Human Systems Intervention.
I know that a lot has changed and I have many new strategies to learn and experiment with.
I'm hoping this site will help me out with that :)

Here is a link to my "Our Wonderful World" blog that I will be using each week to work with my 2nd, 3rd, 4th grade students on reading for… Continue

I would love to hear from anyone who teachs economics (or any other subject) that uses technology in their classroom.
