About Me:
I am a library media/educational technology specialist at a K-5 school in Long Island, NY. I am also a teacher/editor for MidLink Magazine, http://www.ncsu.edu/midlink/, and an adjunct instructor for Long Island University in their graduate educational technology program. I teach a lot of educational-technology professional development courses and spend a lot of time on my laptop before the birds wake up. And I have so many user names and passwords these days that I now keep a stickie on my laptop to help my overloaded brain remember them!

ELECTION PROJECT: MEET THE CANDIDATES--JOIN!!

I have created a webquest for upper elementary-middle school classes called "Meet the Candidates." This is an award-winning project, updated for the 2008 election, with web 2.0 tools incorporated. Student Email Accounts

We are considering allowing our fifth grade students to have gmail accounts next year in order to take advantage of google apps. Please let me know if any of you allow this and if so, does your school have an acceptable use policy or permission form that goes along with it? We do not want to be responsible for their accounts; we want them to use the email for educational purposes only. Thanks!
