About Me: I am a library media/educational technology specialist at a K-5 school in Long Island, NY. I am also a teacher/editor for MidLink Magazine, http://www.ncsu.edu/midlink/, and an adjunct instructor for Long Island University in their graduate educational technology program. Student Email Accounts

We are considering allowing our fifth grade students to have gmail accounts next year in order to take advantage of google apps. Please let me know if any of you allow this and if so, does your school have an acceptable use policy or permission form that goes along with it? We do not want to be responsible for their accounts; we want them to use the email for educational purposes only. Thanks!

April 17th is POEM IN YOUR POCKET DAY. The idea is simple: have your students select a poem they love during National Poetry Month then carry it with them to share with other students on April 17.
