Technology upgrade. Help needed!!!

At last I got my laptops and my wireless broadband in my classroom today. I only have 1 computer for each group of 4 students but its such a step forward for any school in our area. I am even more excited than the kids! Its even better than when we got our interactive white board.The thing is now, I need to plan the best way to use all this technology. Here goes! This is my first attempt at blogging.

Background first. I have been teaching since 1991. At Easter in 1998 I got the opportunity to come out of the classroom and work with the parents in my area. So for more than 10 years that's what I have been doing and I loved it. One of those traits is word choice. By teaching this trait, we strive to help our students use vibrant and sensory language in their writing, to make their writing more enjoyable for the reader. Maybe we could exchange letters where the goal is to describe our neighborhoods or towns as much as possible? I only have 23 students, so I could see if a few of my kids would want to write to two people or you could see if a few of your students would mind having the same partner?
