Wow, it's been a long time since I came into Classroom 2.0 and added to the site in any way. I have been so busy with other tasks. I started my own blogsite and have been working on that. I have written articles for Terry Freedman and Steve Hargedon. I have interned at the Webcast Academy, learning to produce and host online shows. A…

I have set up so many goals for myself this summer that now I sit here stuck..wondering how to begin. Do I start with my writing program which I decided to revamp for next year? Do I look into GoogleEarth, which seems to keep drawing me back? Do I set up my own wiki, since I've only participated in them, not set them up? Do I contact all my new collaborative friends and set up a conference call to discuss plans for the year?
I'm reminded of an old poem from A. A. Milne in one of the Wi…

This morning, before school began, Christine Southard and I decided to try out our new webcam. So Christine sent out an SOS asking for friends to help us play and we got a great response. We spoke first with Ginger, who graciously turned on her camera even though it was early morning in Kansas (You looked fabulous, Ginger). We played around with the camera and had fun. Then David J. checked in from Texas. At this point, after we figured out how to get David into our call, we realized the webc…

Right before April vacation, I went to a fantastic conference - A Celebration of Teaching and Learning, sponsored by PBS, among others. The focus of the conference was technology and global awareness. One of the speakers was Alan November. It was from his speech that I learned about rss feeds and aggregates, blogging, podcasting, vodcasting, delicious, and social networking.
So here I am, just two months later, feeling exhilarated and overwhelmed all at the same time. We, Christine Sou…

I am looking for a good blog that can be monitored, is not blocked by schools, and students can set up their own blogs. You said in a post that you use Blogmeister. How do you like it? How do you get an account?
I'm a friend of Scott Weidig and he was telling me that you have a 4th grade teacher in your building that would be interested in doing some collaboration wtih Chris Van Allsburg's Harris Burdick. If she is still interested, could you please send me her name or have her contact me as soon as possible ? We are on Spring Break this week and I would really like to work with her so we can get geared up for our discussions in the following weeks. Thanks so much! Have a great week!

We made one with an embedded movie clip about cyberbullying in hebrew.
at the bottom of this page:

You can see if your kids can understand the movie clip even though it's in Hebrew. Some of our kids added comments about the cyberbullying situation and how one should react if he encounters it!
I added the VT in two places on our club's wiki.

Our kids had a good time making the additions. This was a great introduction to VT for them.
Last week we commented on a VT containing a video clip on cyberbullying and next week the girls will be designing their own VT.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Did u see the Hebrew language audio additions my students left in your class VT?. Do you have to OK them in order to be added?
