I have been a Computer Resource Specialist for Virginia Beach City Public Schools for the past 3 years. Before that I taught middle school science and math as well as biology at the local community college. I am NETS-T certified and will also hold a professional certification in Instructional Technology by this August. I am very excited about the potential for education through integrating technology. In particular, I am determined to weave professional instructional design principles and cognitive learning as an integration specialist. These methods have proven success in the private sector and can translate to many opportunities for growth in public education.
I also serve as the Partnership Coordinator for my school and am constantly looking for school to school connections to help foster global learning and understanding.
