I go through this too and I do spend my time going around and helping the students in need of assistance. I never sit when there's a class in the lab - I am always circling the room. With the younger grades that aren't reading, there is a lot of ind…
Although I don't fit your criteria (I work in middle school), I looked at your project page. I like the first slide show idea!
I grew up in South Texas. On television, in movies, and in song, I kept hearing all about winter wonderlands and snow. Th…

With your work in Computer Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you or your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. We'd really like to get more students involved from California!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
We are know as SITACT Incorporated and we operate out of Chicago. You can
find more about us at www.sitact.ent. We are into developing virtual
learning environments and course settings so that it becomes easy to set up
an online course for a teacher. A sample of what we do can be seen at
www.lms.sitact.net . Please use the guest login
and use "frankieuncle" as the guest access code. What you will see in here
is a simple course that describes the software, but this course can be
designed to teach diverse subject matter to students. If you feel the kind
of work we are doing will be useful for you, we will be glad to work with
you setting up such virtual courses for collaborative dissemination and consumption of knowledge. Even if you didn't like the work we do, please let us know if we can do anything else for you.

I'm glad that you found my resources worth reading. I was really happy with those projects. I enjoyed looking at all of your classroom photos. I see you use Kid Pix too. I have a wiki with my Kid Pix projects, if you want to take a look. What types of Kid Pix projects do you work on with your students?

Hi!
I had from 4th grade on making the business cards so that by the time they were in 6th grade the bio poster was fairly easy for them. I set up a word document that had just a plain font they could replace. It was created from separate text boxes that were placed all over the page. If I can find the original template I will post it but it won't be hard to duplicate.
Hi,
I just added the word wall all at once. I started in the middle of the year, so probably would've just added the words as we went over them, but this works too. I pulled a list of tech words off the internet, then I added the ones I catch myself repeating over and over. My board was going to waste, so this was a great way to fill it up! The keyboard is a great way to fill up the walls! I put my student work out in the hall. I normally use hot glue and just attach to the walls, because we don't really have bulletin boards, just sections. Do you have any pics of your lab? Would love to see them!
