Planetfesto Earth Day project update and question

This forum has been so helpful for us when we launched Planetfesto.org. For those new, Planetfesto’s mission is to help to spark a change in humanity’s relationship with the planet worldwide while promoting immediate and tangible results. To do that, we’ve created a project to build an online ribbon around the world created entirely by individuals. EarthDay idea: Planetfesto.org--educators discuss experience/hints

A collaborative, international art project to build a virtual ribbon around the world. The ribbon is made up of 6" pieces with a photo or drawing of why you love the earth, a statement of love, and pledges of personal action. We want to plant the subversive thought: do we need a new relationship with the planet? Contributions from 54 countries and 8,000 individuals--many from kids and classes. Takes about 2 minutes, and the site is loaded with ideas, photos students can use, and lesson plans.…See More

My husband and I have started an environmental nonprofit called Planetfesto.org in our spare time with friends...the idea is simple. Individual action to help the planet fueled by love, not guilt. Get millions of us together and show the world how many of us there really are! We have two little kids and felt that we had to do something to try to help with the mess we've created.
