Has anyone had difficulty with getting your district to allow Skype?  My district will not allow Skype due to security problems. Anyone else?  Any solutions? Thanks, Patti

I've had some great experiences with Skype in the past. Just two weeks ago I was able to Skype with former NFL Quarterback and Superbowl MVP, Kurt Warner.  I "met" him on Twitter and he asked his followers if anyone used Skype. I…

I never really thought of skype as a classroom tool, I used to just think of it as a a social networking device. I believe it would be great if students could become pen pals with other students in different countries and then were allowed to skype…

Hi guys!

Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you or your classmates would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to make sure kids in the state get involved!

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

For some reason, I just got your message from early November about Skyping into our room to talk about internet safety. I would LOVE that. I have 4th graders. How about sometime shortly after the holidays?

If your high school students are looking to work together online I recommend ytou take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom. It has a free basic service and has quite a few features that might prove interesting and fun for your students to use in a virtual classroom setting.

We are looking at a game that would help students prepare for SAT/ACT as a first initiative in this arena. Also looking for partners and colleagues who might be interested in exploring this idea.

Hey, all. I built OpenHistoryProject.org, a platform for discovering and improving ways to learn online about who did what when!

If you look around, there are lots of links to very different activities. Unfortunately, summertime has had me answering to other priorities, and some bug has worked its way into the Wiki.

You can also go to my blog (tellingthestory.org) and look at the many interactives there.
