About Me: Hi! My name is Michael George and I am an Instructional Technologist for Fredericksburg City Public Schools in Virginia.

I am a former Social Studies teacher and have been fascinated with technology since I was in college. With the advent of Web 2.0 applications and open source software, it has made it much easier to engage and educate students using web applications and open source software such as Audacity.

The main function of my job is as a technology integrator. By having the proper tools, support and an easy method, teachers are more likely to incorporate emerging technologies into their curriculum.
