I used class time with my students. I also assigned it as homework but that did not go so well. When you answer as a group you can send your replies at once what makes the exchange easier. It cost time but it is worth it. My year end feedback was…

Hello!
A colleague and I are starting a Ning page (frenchbookclub.ning.com) which will follow our syllabi for a college level French and Francophone literature in translation course. We would love for you and/or your students to participate! We're under construction until the beginning of the semester (Jan 20, 2009), but feel free to take a look at what we've created thus far! Take care!
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you or your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to.
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Hey Michelle I found the classroom20 member who is from France, so he is well worth befriending and talking to. He is Vincent Mespoulet and does fabulous things with global projects and video work.
Hi Michelle, I have just chanced upon some of the schools to skype with. One of my Australian friends went to Korea to teach English. First, we shared blogging but then just as she was leaving we started videoconferencing. One of my teacher mailing lists this year, said that some schools in Korea were looking for Aussie schools again, so I applied to to be part of that program. Twitter and other global projects have also given me valuable contacts. I assume you teach secondary students. Let me have a think and a look around my contacts for you. Have you joined twitter? There are some interesting ning groups that may lead you to a school. If you goto my delicious page on nings http://del.icio.us/murcho/ning you may find something of interest. Have you had a look around the members of this wonderful classroom?
