- I currently teach 10th and 11th Grade English in a suburban Philadelphia school district. I've grown up in PA, but have spent many summers abroad. Right now I'm finishing up my Master's in Global and International Education from Drexel University and just founded a non-profit organization, Project Inform (project-inform.org). I also serve as the Director of Educational Development for Swaziland Relief - an NGO serving the orphans of Swaziland (swazilandrelief.org). What is the Purpose of Being in Education?

Education is the great communal experience. We go to school 180 days a year, for 13 years of our life, and many of us continue along the educational path much longer. We can discuss similar teachers, extra-curricular activities, lunch-room antics, multiplication tables, and books. Education, as an American communal experience, is meant in one part to build our national pride, and also to also fuel the American dream.
