I am currently looking at these to free software screen capture programs, trying to decide which will be better to use for my blog and worksheets needs. I need something easy to understand and work with at this time - I'm not totally comfortable with adding new ways, but know it will serve me best in the future.
Which do you use and how?
Any other suggestion?
Thanks for your input on this.

Have you tried Screen Toaster ? I have played around with it a little bit and find it very easy to use. It's not a downloadable program. You work with it online, so it works equally well with Mac or PC platforms.
I second this, very easy to use and the option to download your clip or post it straight to the web.

If you're talking about still screenshots then EasyCapture is excellent
ScreenToaster is the best I've used, and there is no download.
I use Jing. I use it to demonstrate how to use different tools on the web. I have also used it as a demonstration tool for English teachers to critique a students essay or some kind of writing piece. I have also had students use it when they create a web page. They go through their page explaining why they did certain things. Jing's video capture has a limit of 5 minutes though. I have not used Skitch.
If you are just doing screen captures and not screen casts, then I would recommend Skitch. It is very easy to use, let's you mark up the screen capture in a variety of ways, and you can easily drag the screen capture to another program or your desktop plus you can store it on your free skitch.com site and get url or embed codes to share it with others. Here is one example - http://img.skitch.com/20100727-8pjd3xq4x8yni1hcx14k66im2r.jpg
I use Jing and I love it! It is very easy to capture screen shots as well as videos with it. And there are a number of ways that you can share your work with others. I suggest that you do give it a try!
A lot of Windows computers come with a snipping tool. Just search for it. It is an easy to use screen capture that is already on your computer. then just paste it where ever you need.
That is just for Vista and Windows 7, so if you're still using XP, like a lot of people, you need a 3rd party app.
If you have a Mac then it already has 'Grab' for taking still snapshots of all or part of the screen.
