Can anyone suggest some good sites (prefereably interactive) where a student (about 12 or 13 years old) might be able to practice some basic French grammar? What I'm coming up with so far really isn't that great and I'm hoping there's better stuff out there.

Hello!

I'm not sure if you've found this website or not but I'll post it anyways.

have you tried www.conjuguemos.com?
Is your student writing in French? If so, check out this site for editing:

http://bonpatron.com/

It is used mostly by immersion students or FSL students in the higher grades, but it might be useful to your student.

A free downloaded software called Selingua is one programme I tell my FSL students about. It's appropriate for all levels of French learning but geared more towards the Second Language crowd. Has activities and tests built in to the programme.

You can get a copy here:

Hope this helps.
The Cloze Line is an excellent resources for French Teachers. There is also a Spanish version
try www.lepointdufle.com

It's a great site, which I use all the time, full of easy-to-understand lessons, examples, games, quizzes, and a lot more! Have them sign up to follow progress.

Or also www.françaisfacile.com

Another super one! A great feature on this one is the entire games section, with things like wordsearch...

Have a nice day, and I hope this helps!
