About Me:
I am currently working on a PhD in Curriculum and Instructional Technology. I’m interested in how adolescents use information and communication technologies. Specifically I’ve been looking at how online book clubs can be used to improve adolescent motivation to read books. I plan future studies to examine how the social presence of the teacher affects student’s interaction patters in online environments.

Online Book Clubs

I'm looking for examples of online book clubs for adolescents. Is anyone using Second LIfe, Skype, or Blogging to form book clubs between students who are different time zones? How do you manage it? What are the challenges?

Hi Denise,
Good to hear from you. Sounds like you're having a good summer. My schedule looks pretty open for next week, other than the 4th. Just giave me a date and time and I'll be available. Phone call or IM?
