I'm a gifted ed. teacher who works with students in Grades K-5 at two schools. It is my passion to integrate technology tools into our curriculum to better prepare our students for the world.
I've been doing a pilot program this year using wikis and blogs to create online enrichment clusters for gifted students. It's been pretty succesful and I've just created a Ning group for educators working with GT kids to collaborate on online enrichment clusters. I hope you'll join us and share your ideas and knowledge.

Thanks for your note. I like your short videoclilps. Have you checked out Scratch? Google MIT and Scratch for the link if you haven't had the chance to take a look at it. Your students might enjoy it.

Hello, Marnie. I am trying to connect with with my Classroom 2.0 friends at the start of this new school year. What have you been up to?
I noticed the photo of your students working with the Lego robotics. This past year I offered a robotics club for 4th and 5th graders. We used Robolab and the Lego Kits with RCX. We are planning to buy 5 robotics kits for next year (we had to return the others that we borrowed). I wondered if you had experience with both the RCX and the NXT. Which do you prefer for upper elementary students? Thanks! Laurie

Hi,
Great blog and wonderful student PSA's! I bookmarked them in Delicious to show to my teachers next school year for our EETT grant activities!

Hi, thanks for the friend invitation! My very first forays into online collaborations, (pre web 1.0!), in the early 1990's were with gifted K-8 students. I'm sure we'll have lots to discuss. I'm going to go check out your blog more carefully!
Don't miss our Classroom 2.0 live Web meetings. A schedule is on our wiki. From "Web 2.0 for Beginners" to our weekly "Web 2.0 Review" and our special guest sessions, there's something for everyone. Want to start your own show? Email steve@hargadon.com.
