Cross-posted from The Impetuous Geek By Alix E. Peshette Technology has expanded many of the traditional ideas of how students can show evidence of learning. So, it’s no surprise that many students elect to create multimedia presentations. Images, video, narration and sound tracks are combined to produce an engaging product. Naturally enough, students often share these creations onli… Continue

Cross-posted from EdTech Gold Rush It’s been ages since I’ve posted a new blog entry and I feel pretty guilty about that. Have you introduced your non-human companions to your students? Do they know how interesting a person you are? They should.
The links you suggested are goods ones. The most up-do-date NGO-in-a-box Website I’d found is the South Asia one. The
OLPC Foundation’s site I had bookmarked is a short trip through cyberspace from the one you suggested. As OLPC Chairman Negroponte has continued to say since the project’s original MIT lab days, this initiative isn’t about computers, it’s about children learning—lots of sound educational thinking put into the initiative.
