Yes, each region has an Ultranet Coach. I can let you know who is there if you would like.

We didn't get enough students last year to run a class, so we have year 11's and 12's together doing Unit 3/4. It is difficult to start a new subject in a school - students don't know what to expect. I would find teaching all VCE classes very restrictive - following the set curriculum all the time.

Do you work across both campuses? Last year I had only year 7 to 9, while I am teaching VCE classes (Environmental Science) this year. I am finding it a lot less stressful having a balance of 7 to 12, rather than all my time in the high-management middle years.

How many students at your new school? We are down to about 250 I think. I do enjoy smaller class sizes - I can plan for activities that would be too risky with a larger group. You get to know your students much better, which gives you a more 'pastoral' role too.

Hi Nirvana,
Welcome to Classroom 2.0! I hope you are enjoying teaching - what (if anything) was memorable about your rounds at Hawkesdale?
