Activstudio by Promethean

I am just in the beginning stages of exploring the activstudio software with use with activotes and the activslates. What advice do you have working with the program and using it in the classroom, specifically 5th graders. Any advice you have would be great. The software seems a bit difficult.

At the fist glance Activstudio seems a little bit complicated. But it comes down to a few know-hows and then you can do some amazing things, only limited by the mind. ;)

Try Designmode and Showmode, and the difference.

And think of everything dragged to or written on the whiteboard as an object. Objects can be resized, marked, rotated and moved. And if you rightclick you have everything there that has to do with the object.

But... there are some complicated things you can change to adjust the way you can use activstudio.

I´ve tried the activeboard when I started up a filmproject. Explaining the storyboard, and how to use the camera and document/save everything we decide to do.

And today I´m going to use activevote and evaluate another project. It´s a very nice tool... I love it, but I´m not an every day teacher... so it´s maybe a different issue?...

Not so very much information... but don´t give up...it´s a very nice learningtool. And it´s a very good thing to invest in a wireless keyboard/mouse.

Hi. I was wondering how far you got with your learning. I've just gotten a board and an getting ready to use it in September. The one thing I have started doing it using their training online. In the Activstudio software, I clicked on the Training tab and signed up for a free account. So far, the lessons are short, simple, and to the point. I'd be interested in anything you have learned and found useful.
