Is anyone having students use this? I'm doing an 8th grade demo lesson Wed 3/10 and I am looking for some ideas. Any input, or examples of MS student presentations is much appreciated.

Lynne Bailey replied to Denise Stewart's discussion 'Does anyone know of any FREE typing sites out in cyberland?'
DanceMat Typing is a fun site ... I introduced keyboarding to my 10th graders with that site, but went on to actually use another site. I highly recommend the free site, www.goodtyping.com. Once you register it keeps track of your progress. Students…

About Me
teacher, tekkie, digital designer... and an NYIT graduate ... MS Instructional Technology

I just finished a 6-month gig as a STEM Trainer for a Title IIB Grant in the Bronx working with dozens of teachers to facilitating science and technology initiatives in individual classrooms. I also developed and delivered a number of full day science workshops for teachers in the grant.

Previously (and maybe yet, again) I was a technology teacher at a NYC public school.

Hi Lynne,

With your work in Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.

hi Lynne,
Reading your Academic Musings & Tech for e-Learning blog and your April 6 comment on QER. I had not been aware of this site before and was impressed with some of the courses. Thanks for the tip.
