Last year in our AP History classes (3 classes with 48 kids) we decided to try a project after the AP exam. The juniors still have 3 weeks of class and the pressure of the AP is gone. I work at a k12 school in instructional technology. We are doing a decent job integrating web2.0. We have used newsvine, googledocs, fleck, flickr, diigo, del.icio.us, wikis, and blogs. We have given up the 11th grade US history exam in favor of a research project that concludes with a tech presentation. Things are good but there is much to learn.
Elizabeth I don't know where your pictures were taken... Copper Canyon? Grand Canyon? They are marvelous! Welcome to the Better with Practice PBL group. I hope you'll join the conversations there.
Hi Elizabeth. I was wondering if you have students or educator friends who would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Hi Elizabeth,
I'm working on getting up to speed with Web 2.0 learning tools by investigating new words that crop up in blogs and forums in this network. I love the sentence in your intro "We have used newsvine, googledocs, fleck, flickr, diigo, del.icio.us, wikis, and blogs." There's 4 new words there for me and I'm off to investigate. Thanks for the leads.

I've been looking for AP teachers using technology. The content is so hard to get in that many teachers don't have time to use technology. We'll have to brainstorm some ideas for the classes. I'd love a collaborative effort.
