I set up a wiki at Wikispaces with my Biology class to follow current events. It was my first attempt at this kind of endeavor. I wanted to do a trial run now before school ended so I could get some insight into it and improve it for the next school…

Have you considered forums in Moodle? I've used them in the past to have students respond to prompts for discussion. We are currently using them as a discussion platform for a wiki we're creating with our sister school. Because responses…

About Me
Head of ICT

I think therefore I am

I'm the Head of ICT in a private catholic school in Ealing, West London, UK.

I teach 11 - 18 year olds with an oversight of the ICT curriculum from when they are 5 in our Junior School.

I am enjoy my subject: all the new ideas and exciting technologies, but mostly I love seeing the kids do things they think are truly marvellous.

I also teach teachers how to use ICT in the classroom. This is stressful because busy and successful teachers don't necessarily want to change what they are doing and learn new (technology) things or even spice up their classroom. IF I work 1-2-1 with a teacher I get an excellent response.

Hi Dai,
I teach 12-13 year olds civics and geography. Would you be interesting in our classes collaborating? First semester we study civics (our English heritage, foundations of American government, etc.) and then second semester we study geography and culture of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Hello Dai,

Loved reading your page. I get the same response from teachers and students here. They love the tech. they just have a tough time wanting to learn it. It is something new.
