The Cafeteria and the place where they mix the potions was my favourite....feel the same way about the vats. I haven't looked at it for a little while but I like your approach. I'll get going and maybe we can compare notes.

Do you find that they can follow the game? I noticed that the directions for finding rooms is more clear than it was last year...or maybe I "get" it this year. I will be getting my kids on it next week. Do you have them go directly to the…

Hi Kevin, This sounds very interesting. I find that there are so many resources that keeping track of them is not so easy. I teach grade 7 and 8 math in a laptop school and this year decided to put the sites together in topics. I find that my…

I just finished a summer coursee in Web 2.0 technology and I have to say that I find it very exciting. There is so much information but I am trying to narrow down a couple of ideas to use in m math classes. Has anyone out there used blogging an a math class? Or any class for that maatter?I have found a couple of classes which use it and I'm intrigued. My students love to use messenger, facebook etc so it's not really a big step to move to blogging, it's just that they would have something… Continue

Hi Bridget --

It's great to so many Canucks in here in CR 2.0. You might want to join a group called "Canadians Mashup". If you join, please use the Welcome forum at http://www.classroom20.com/group/canadianmashup/forum/topics/welcome-to-canadian-mashup to introduce yourself.

I have a special interest in working with math teachers who want to incorporate Web 2.0 tools into their work. If you're ever looking for someone to do hands-on workshops or even collaborate with teachers right in their classrooms, please let me know at mshellman@telus.net.

Hi Bridget,

With your interest in Web 2.0 Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Here’s a Public Class on Technology Integration you might be interested in.

Bridget,

I teach chemistry online, and I have used IM and pronto to let students collaborate and form online study groups, but I've not used blogs. I am investigating wikis.

Hi Bridget,

I teach instructional technology and English courses at Kent State. I used to be a HS English teacher prior to switching over to college. Have you ever taught math online?
