There is so much information but I am trying to narrow down a couple of ideas to use in m math classes. Has anyone out there used blogging an a math class? Or any class for that maatter?I have found a couple of classes which use it and I'm intrigued. My students love to use messenger, facebook etc so it's not really a big step to move to blogging, it's just that they would have something… Continue

Hi Bridget --

It's great to so many Canucks in here in CR 2.0. You might want to join a group called "Canadians Mashup". If you join, please use the Welcome forum at http://www.classroom20.com/group/canadianmashup/forum/topics/welcome-to-canadian-mashup to introduce yourself.

I have a special interest in working with math teachers who want to incorporate Web 2.0 tools into their work. If you're ever looking for someone to do hands-on workshops or even collaborate with teachers right in their classrooms, please let me know at mshellman@telus.net.

Hi Bridget,

With your interest in Web 2.0 Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Here’s a Public Class on Technology Integration you might be interested in.

Bridget,

I teach chemistry online, and I have used IM and pronto to let students collaborate and form online study groups, but I've not used blogs. I am investigating wikis.

Hi Bridget,

I teach instructional technology and English courses at Kent State. I used to be a HS English teacher prior to switching over to college. Have you ever taught math online?
