- I am a 2nd grade teacher in Phoenix, AZ. I never thought I would love teaching the younger ones, but I do. This is my second year teaching. I love learning about student invented math strategies including some CGI concepts. I love the workshop approach to reading and writing and am trying out Words Their Way for the first time.
I also love integrating technology. I am currently getting my masters in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University.
Other than teaching, I enjoy listening to and TRYING to play music (guitar and bass), reading, basketball (I coached for 3 years at the high school level), and cats.....yes I said it ....CATS!
I want to hear some good ideas for the classroom...so please share!
