Hi Ann, I am a 2nd grade teacher at Buffalo Trail. I really enjoyed the video! Wow! It really gives you a lot to think about. I really appreciated the statements at the end - we do have a lot to learn about! We need to be able to teach kids how to…

A bit new but always on the look-out to expand my horizons

A bit new... at this Classroom 2.0 but I'm always looking for new ways to learn. Most recently I am trying Pageflakes and trying to view more blogs and listen to more podcasts. As Wes Fryer has suggested, we all need a "yoda" from whom we learn. The very cool thing is, is that our yodas don't need to be in our local vicinity with all the techology available. Thus the world is flat. So here are my yodas...... Will Richardson, Wes Fryer, Alan November, Marco Torres and #1 David Warlick.

Hey Ann,

Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!

That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.

Do you mind passing my message along to students and your HS colleagues again?

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Ann. I was wondering if you have any high school contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

I'm guessing if you are reading this comment, you have probably discovered where to find them... if not, scroll all the way to the bottom of your page... As far as my previous comment goes, we received an email this morning about the SMARTboards - YEAH!! I will be looking forward to March all year!
