My new image

For some time now I've been reflecting on my identity. One's identity is formed through interactions between one's nature, roles and environments. About Me: I'm a Canadian living in Tokyo, Japan. I teach English as a Foreign Language at two universities: Toyo Gakuen University (Nagareyama, Chiba campus) and Shibaura Institute of Technology (Higashi Omiya, Saitama campus). The majority of the students I'm teaching at the moment are 3 L learners (Low proficiency, Low motivation and Low self-esteem). A great many of these students have few computer skills, beyond the skills necessary for using a mobile phone. Consequently I'm interested in applications for mobile phones.
I have also taught in secondary schools and at language schools. I've taught learners from 3 to 80.
I began using Web technologies while teaching at a high school in Tokyo. I started my blog at that time.
Along with Classroom 2.0, I belong to EFL Classroom 2.0, and I belong to the following professional organisations: JALT, ETJ, and the Nakasendo English Conference.
I'm always keen to work on collaborative projects. Hope you'll get in touch and let me know what you're working on. Perhaps we can do something together.
