Thanks, Skip, Rich, and James! I haven't been here for a while. Being a novice teacher can be overwhelming! James, that's a good question. I'll add a CC license when I get a chance.

Hi Howard,

Didn't know you were in Classroom 2.0. Thanks for the direction via email to the media literacy site. I have spent a bit of time reading on that site - good stuff. Is that licensed under creative commons?

Best regards,

James Folkestad

Welcome to the Classroom 2.0 community, Howard.

I look forward to reading what you blog at Smart Mobs and your writings about the media at Rheingold.com. Presently, I'm (re-)reading carefully Terrence Gordon's critical edition of Marshall McLuhan's "Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man." It is on my list of works to read on which today's field of media ecology is founded. The synthesis of findings from various scientific and aesthetic disciplines fascinates me. Analytical thinking certainly isn't dead, but it's insufficient in itself to mean anything.
Thanks for joining CR2.0.
