You can find documents cameras rather inexpensive these days. I used an Elmo and I took pictures, made copies of student work. I found an inexpensive alternative http://www.ipevo.com/.
I agree and with tablets such as the IPad and estoppel app's basically who have an interactive whiteboard. Replacing projector bulbs can be expensive and if you have them mounted, you could end up with white elephants.
I have one NEO2 that I use with my special ed students. My students take AR tests, type essays using AlphaWrd Plus and I email to teachers, I use Math Facts in a flash(offline)

Thank You. I briefly checked out the websites. Problem at my school is bandwidith. We have not installed fiber optics yet. EPALS allows students to have their own monitored email account. I am thinking about doing some virtual teaching in the near future and this would be nice. Any streaming overloads our network.
