How does social networking, web 2.0 add value to the educational experience?

This is the question I am exploring. I look forward to many fruitful conversations about how each of us are dealing with the many options and challenges of web 2.0 skill sets and how these skills impact our duty as educators, administrators, parents and students.

I believe with these answers we can make even greater progress toward engaging more people in the conversation and moving our education system faster toward a much needed system update.

I am already learning a lot by reading the posts hear at classroom 2.0 and look forward to joining the conversation.

As we evolve in this new communication medium, we are all getting used to online social networking and what it means for building relationships, collaborating and business.

I want to be completely honest up front, I am here in classroom 2.0 to get your feedback and thoughts about a new software platform that provides a safe social networking enviroment for schools.
