Hi Daniel,

With your interest in Web 2.0 Applications, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.

Hi Daniel!

Happy New Year! I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Illinois!

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

We might do better to set a date and agenda for a skype call. I have classes from 8:30-10:30 and 2:00-3:15. I also work with small groups on technology projects from 11:00-12:40. Maybe we could do some sort of Jeopardy type game. Have you had any success with classroom Skype conferencing?

Where can I see your blogs so that my students can comment on them? How many do you have? Mine are eighth grade, and we're just starting a new semester. Love to read em!

Sorry Daniel to be slow replying to your request for partner bloggers. I was so busy and then went to China for 2 weeks. What year level or age groups do you teach? We like sharing blogging with others as it gives the students an authentic audience.

Daniel,

Hi, this is Kevin. Hope your summer is going well and you had some time to relax. I see that you are also a middle school science teacher.

I've started a new Ning network for Middle School Science Teachers and I thought you might like to join. I thought it would be really good to have just middle school science teachers share some of their labs, demos, concerns, what works and what doesn't about teaching this level. Hope to see you there.
Middle School Science Teacher

Thanks, Kevin

Re: Request for research talk--sure, send me some times that work for you. I just floated the mighty Rogue River, your picture makes me happy! I don't think they have white water like that in Illinois though...
