I am presently a technology resource teacher, am working on my Instructional Technology masters, and teaching adult classes at night. Although I am losing my mind, I have only four classes to go--I see the caboose in sight!
We have used Quia in some classrooms, and not only is it paperless, but it gives you data and a run down on test results--great for remediation planning!

Yeah. It's really great. I was a Chef for 7 years whilst studying and decided to teach it for a living. Not looked back since. I've been trying (where possible) to fit web2.0 into my teaching. It really excites me the many endless possibilities of technology providing you keep current and up to date. I'm really looking forward to being part of your community!
Hi Brian! When in Scotland, do as the Scots right? Well, at least at that museum. I read that you are getting your masters from VA Tech. Is that on campus, or online?
Hello Brian --thanks for the note --yes China is, was, a wonderland for me...Among other things I met my wife there... I miss it! However, I'm going back for a loong visit this summer --where did you live and work when you were there?
Hi Brian - It's an amazing place and fun to imagine what it must have been like when it was in full "swing" as an active home for the Hearst family! It's well worth the day trip! Best, Doug
Thanks Brian,
I noticed your comment right after I changed my photo! I bought one of the mini "kite-trains" in Beijing. I'm going to try it out with my students this month. I'm trying to scrape together plane fare to teach in China (near Qingdao) this summer, but times are tough.
It's a great life style... it still a busy busy place, with lots going on to keep you entertained and professionally challenged! As you say, China is a different story... very different indeed.
