Reluctant bloggers

I have set up a blog for my fellow Religious Educators in Victoria, Australia called http://reinnovators.wordpress.com/ and emailed them the link. However, only about 6 of them have subscribed and those who have rarely respond to the posts I have put up. I am feeling a bit dispirited. How do I get them more actively involved?

Dear Bernadette, I am sorry I can't give you a price. Please, contact Robert Freling from SELF (www.self.org) to get a quote. SELF is our partner for solar energy. Happy New Year to you. Regards, Anna.

Dear Bernadette. thank you very much for your interest. We don't actually do hardware such as solar panels, but software such as awareNet. For the solar panels we assisted our partner SELF. Please, let me know what exactly it is you would like to know. I am happy to explain what we do. Best regards. Anna

Hello Bernadette and how lovely to see you here on this site. You will learn so much from here and it is great to see your active involvement in the discussions. Are you a government school teacher in Victoria, if so http://globalstudent.org.au is set up by the Dept as a campus for edublogs, so there is security and safety in that fact. However, it will change to anohter name next year, so remind me and I shall tell which it will be.

Hi Bernadette, If you find the comments section in your dashboard (I dont use blogger but if you have problems finding it, let me know) you should see an area that refers to comments. You can have complete control over comments. Make sure you choose to moderate them before they go up online. (I would think that this would be the default) That way you have full control and delete or spam any that are not appropriate. However, in all my three years of blogging with students, we have rarely seen any inappropriate ones. The clustrmaps are great. Goto http://clustrmaps.com/, key in your email address and blog address. Click make my map.Look for code to appear in a box on the next screen. (There may be one step in between where you have to coppy some text and numbers) Copy that code. Goto your blog, login and look for section that allows you to add widgets. Add a text widget to your sidebar, paste the code in there and save.If this does not work, please let me know and I will lookat blogger and work it out with some screen dumps.
