Hi all,
You might be interested in the upcoming meeting for the Qrious Think Tank. It's a group I'm starting to put some of our ideas into action. The event listed here:

Kahlil G. Chism is a member of our Georgia group. He works for the Jimmy Carter Library. It looks like a good resouce to pass on to you 8th grade social studies teachers.

I just wanted to pass along this Gmap. My PLN is mapping where we all are. I wanted to see about getting a few more Georgians on the map.

Hi! I am a high school media specialist in Troup County. This is my first year as media specialist, and I am quite new at Classroom 2.0. I would appreciate any and all information/resources that I can share with the teachers at my school. I look forward to collaborating with you.

Like Cerese, I also want to connect with Georgia educators and more. For the past year, Monroe County Schools has been conducting mini-sessions with schools in Islay, Scotland, and Velencia, Spain. We use Google Sketchup, Wikispaces, email, and video chat to connect our students to each other. The groups pick a local historical building, describe it in sufficient historical & architectural detail, and the other group constructs the building in Sketchup. It's been a great cross-cultural exchange.

Unfortunately, we are losing our Velencia school, but we are adding a gifted elementary group in Bulloch County, GA. We'd love to include other Georgia and other foreign schools. Anyone want to join the fun? Then contact me here or at keith.hamon@monroe.k12.ga.us. Thanks.
