I recently came across a few long-standing blogs that never crossed my path during my Google searches, and I was thinking that a Classroom 2.0 discussion about blog-sharing might be helpful, since we are members of "the social network for educators using collaborative technologies".

If you have a blog you'd like to share, either your own, or one that you'd recommend, post a reply with a link to the blog, the author's name, the focus of the blog, and perhaps a few words about why you find it interesting or useful.

Update 6/15/10

It has been a very busy school year! The exciting news is that one of my schools has a multi-touch SMARTTable, and every classroom has an interactive whiteboard. The teachers worked very hard to ramp up their IWB skills and I'm amazed at how quickly this interactive technology was adopted. Of course, interactive applications and websites are pretty awesome on a huge screen or display! The best part is that this technology has opened up the minds of a good number of students with severe autism characteristics.

In April, I participated in a workshop at ACM's 2010 CHI conference. The topic of the workshop focused on the next generation of human-computer interaction and education.

I also joined the SparkOn group, "a social platform for people that are sparked (inspired) by creative and emergent technologies".

I use my blog as a classroom extension. I post things I think my students will like as well as homework assignments (to be completed as blog comments).
I also use Twitter and Delicious as additional out-reach/resources for parents and students beyond the classroom.

I have a blog for my Grade 8 classroom. On it, my students and I post on ELA, Math, and what is going on in our school in general. We are beginning to link up with some other Grade 8 class blogs in other parts of the world, and although we are new bloggers, we can see how exciting these connections can be.

I would welcome (constructive !) suggestions on how to improve my blog.

I'm a preschool teacher in Turkey. I share my class work on my web page that is www.sevilturkoglu.com. It is usefull for preschool teacher. Also, I have a class blog that is for my parents. There are my students picture while they are at school.

That's really interesting! I recently began working with preschool students with the goal of preparing them for classrooms with only English instruction. I'm assuming the class is primarily taught in English because your post is in English. Do you work primarily with non-native English speakers, then? If so, how do you incorporate both English and the students' native language into the classroom?

This is my first year teaching science, so I've started a blog for my kids and parents to check out. I put relevant science stuff and extra credit opportunities online, and it's been met with great success.

Hi all, I am an industry based e-learing educator working in the alcohol and other drugs sector in Australia. I write a blog about alcohol, drugs and harm reduction with an e-learning twist :) Already posted a couple of articles about hoe social networks can assist (or hinder) behviour change, and how drug and alcohol workers can use social networks to address life long learning.
