shameless ;) vendor promotions

Vendors: This is the only place (other than the ads placed in the right panel) in the Classroom 2.0 community to "sell" yourself and your Web 2.0 product or service.

Members: 92
Latest Activity: Oct 10, 2017

If you have not placed an ad in the right panel, take your best shot here! Please don't do it anywhere else in the community, or we'll have to revoke your license to sell.

If you want to interact with us creatively in the use and design of your product, you'll find another group that serves as a clearinghouse for that kind of collaboration.

New for Counselors and Teachers! The Challenge Software Program is an Interactive, Web-based application that engages children quickly with video scenarios and games. Based on fundamental psychological principles, the program addresses Self-regulation and Accountability. It also automatically provides numeric Outcome Data for reporting purposes.
The program is currently being used by Counselors, Resource Room Teachers, Behavioral Specialists, Paras, and for group discussion in the regular education classroom. Self-regulation is central to ADHD, learning problems, social difficulties, character education, bullying, depression, anxiety, and anger/aggression problems.

My name is Dan Hite. I've developed an educational program for Windows called SpellQuizzer that helps children learn their spelling and vocabulary words without the battle that parents often have getting them to sit down and write them out while the parents dictate to them. The parent enters the child's spelling words into the software making a sound recording of each word. Then the software helps the child practice his or her words. It really helped my children with their weekly spelling lists.

You can learn more about the program at There's a video demo you can watch at Thank you very much!

After seeing challenges teachers have had with Computer Lab, sharing content with other teachers, and communicating with parents (beyond email) I've built a free service for educators named 19 Pencils.
19 Pencils provides a turn key solution for teachers to build a class website that contains multiple pages. Pages for Computer Lab use, a Blog, Student Resources, and more are automatically created.
You can edit, add content within the very flexible environment. In addition schools can create their own site, and they can all be tied to one another via one big community. It's not too much unlike Ning in some respects. If anyone has any questions please let me know.
