Lesson Plan for US History

In my Interdisciplinary Studies class, I have to create a lesson plan for the important figures of the Civil War as well as issues that led up to the Civil War. We also have to inetgrate a web 2.0 tool in each lesson plan. For instance, I was planning to use a wiki to represent the important figures and a blog for the issues.

In the wiki, the students could then edit and add other acheivements/ failures that I didn't mention about a certain figure. In the blog, students could debate about the issues and analyze the causes through their own comments.

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions or ideas for my lesson plans. I've never created one before, so I'm a little lost.
