I am an Instructional Technology Specialist who is currently responsible for 10 elementary schools in our county.  I am trying to try to balance my time between all of my schools and I am wondering how others do this.  I am also trying to be understanding to my teachers who have limited time in their days.  Do you have a creative way to deliver staff development to your teachers?  I would love to hear your ideas.

I would find your Power Users at each School and train them to be their school's PD Development technology integration expert trainers!
Wow! 10 schools! Sometimes I struggle to fit all of my schools in and I only have 4. I wish I could help provide you with some creative ways to deliver staff development...because I could use some ideas as well!
I am a tech teacher for K-5 as well as the tech integrator for my staff. I decided on Web Wow Wednesdays to offer tips and tools to my teachers. I opened up my room to them from 3:15-4 (after dismissal). Well, no one showed up because they were all busy. So, instead I create Web Wow Wednesday screencasts and share them with my teachers via email. I use Jing to video my web wows and I share them with screencast.com./ Here is my Web Wow page for you to see:

I like this idea - Teachers time is hard to come by since they are pulled in so many different directions.  Having them watch podcasts on tools and tips will really help.  I currently go to each school once a month and spend a day with each grade level.  I have found that the train the trainer model only works if the trainer and trainee are willing to put in the time.  I also worry about the integrity of the content being shared with the train the trainer model.  Thank you for all of your ideas above.  If anyone else has thoughts for squeezing in PD at schools, please let me know!

One other idea you may want to try is having PD sessions using elluminate. You can schedule them for afters school, lunchtime or whenever would be most convenient for the most people. The teachers from around the county can all participate, chat back and forth, etc. The session can be recorded and placed onto a district website page so they can be accessed as an archived recording for those that can't make it.
