I teach at a Catholic school (Xavier), so I probably can't use the globalstudent blog. However, blogger.com seems to be working OK at the moment. I will get a better idea when I start using it with students next year.
Hi Anne
I have set up a blogger.com blog for the first time and it looks good. However, my co-ordinator at school is concerned that anyone could put comments on it. Is there a way of setting it up so that I can monitor comments so that no inappropriate comments get onto it? Also, how do you get a map of the world that shows dots when people have come to your blog?

Gday Anne
I listened to your first session at the GEC live, the rest recorded. Sounds like you are doing some wonderful things in the country! I really like Elluminate Live! We will host a weekend workshop here in Indonesia for EARCOS schools, Id like to have particpants partake in a virtual pre conference session (s) so when particpants come from over Asia we have already made connections, disccussed issues etc.

Thanks for your welcome comment Anne! I've just followed you on Twitter. I see you are an IT/ commerce teacher. Do you think that eventually we'll see the day when school happens exclusively online/ with handhelds/ laptops, etc? Nice to 'meet' you! It certainly is a wonderful thing to be able to network with other teachers and those in the education industry.

Thanks for the welcome Anne. Im looking forward to the GEC, look forward to presenting on Elluminate, should be interesting.
Thank you so much for the welcome! I fully intend to use all the resources. You are all doing a wonderful job bringing our kids to the digital education age.
Thanks for the warm welcome Anne! I love all your posts on blogging in the classroom. As someone who is just starting out, it is very encouraging to hear success stories.
Thank you for your welcome Anne, about a month late. I am on a steep learning curve also. I am looking forward to learning in this Web 2.0 community. Any tips you can give are appreciated.
Anne, I don't remember thanking you for writing on my wall words of welcome...you certainly are a busy person! Could you direct me to a contact /forum that includes (free) elluminate-type classroom software ? Most of the free Adobe Connect and Elluminate software packs only allow a session of 3. I'm looking for something that's like Camtasia that can capture my face, while doing stuff on the whiteboard or computer (like Jing).
Hi Anne, that will be good. Please let me know the at what India time the discussions will be & the topics.

That sounds fantastic Anne. Thank you for dropping in and saying Hi. I would love to make the connections and establish the networks similar to what you have. But for now, it's all about immersing myself in the rich discussion that's happening here.
Hi anne. Can we make it 12.45 this friday, japan time?. Which i think is 11.45 oz time. Gmail is blocked here, so can you send the link to mas-saki@sch.ed.city.kobe.jp we will have no students this time. We just want to see what we can and can't do for next time.
Do we need to download anything? Looking forward to it. Fingers crossed we hit no blocks!
Cheers.
John
Anne, I work with a global non-for-profit IT organization. We work with schools in Australia too! Australia National University, for example, received one of our myCampus Portal Grants. So, please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.
What kind of grants were you looking for? The portal grant is more like an intranet or a community website for your school with single-sign-on access for all of those other systems you work with in your everyday life.

Thanks. I've been able to set up my control of comments and have successfully loaded in a cluster map.
