I detest Websense.  And more than that, I detest that my company will not allow me the privilege to control the Websense settings in our student computer lab.  As I explore classroom 2.0 options for my class, I consistently have the wind taken out of my sails when I run into Websense problems.  Most recently, I tried to incorporate LearnCentral.org with a student--no doing.

I am working on my end to appeal to my supervisors for more huge holes in websense for the students.  In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for certain sites, activities, or applications that have worked for them, despite huge filters.  I understand the filters are specific to those that arrange them, but I thought I'd throw this question out anyway.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Take a look at educationalsynthesis.org for some k-12 material.
