hi all!

I'm a new to 2.0 and just starting to weave through the many links and topics this site has to offer. Does anyone have any advise on how to get started with groups and get signed up for different events?

Hi Noah and welcome to the group! you'll find ideas and inspiration all over this ning - and not only in the elementary section (we tend to underestimate those students at the lower age range - just being younger doesn't make them stupid).

For anyone new to 2.0 discussions I also recommend Vicki Davis's wonderful list of 122 favorite applications as it really jogs us into the possibilities we often ignore.
Investigate Twitter. It's a bit hard to figure out at first. Here are some lists of ideas: http://www.naturalmath.com/index.php?option=com_jd-wp&Itemid=88...
I agree with MariaD, there are a lot of educators on twitters. Here are a few I follow: @WeAreTeachers @K3Teachers and @JustAskEdu. It gives you access to information you may not have time or access to stumble upon yourself. Connection is collaboration for a variety of educational resources. Have fun. Send me a tweet when you do sign up! @aledou.
Hi Noah, My name is Trisha Nelson and I also am new to the teaching field and 2.0. I find it very challenging moving around in these sites and I am not sure about how to get started with groups and events either. I would appreciate any help I can get along the way also. Thanks
