Opensim (for developing Secondlife like) virtual worlds in distance education & the classroom

Greenbush has been developing virtual world solutions using opensource software for the classroom for a bit over a year now. Over the past 7 months we have been investing some considerable human & hardware resources into our Opensim implementation of the GreenbushGrid virtual world for our students. We have had 4 formal in-world learning events over the past few months (summer camps) with many more planned for the coming school year. If you are interested in collaborating with your Opensim project the Opensim developers & Users group is located at -> http://opensim.ning.com ... Some of our future plans include writing some middle ware software so Moodle & our Opesim islands can talk to each other (for tracking and awarding student quest points among other admin & assessment functions). If you are interested in collaborating on your Opensim project drop us a line!

Cheers,
Rich
