HI Scott

Welcome to Classroom 2.0 I did the career switch too about ten years ago. I found it was hard, but well worth it....even with a pay cut. If you were in the corporate world, you may find that things tend to move at a slightly different pace in education. Classroom 2.0 is a great place to find others who are ready to help pick up the pace a little bit.

Glad to have you here.

Hi all,

Didn't do this back when I joined so thought I should get caught up. I was a classroom teacher for 23 years . . . in both "brick & mortar" and online classrooms . . . from 5th grade through grad school courses. I love learning and the process of "architectureing" learning environments.

Currently, I am working on a supplemental degree with sights on getting involved in the arena of educational policy.

I'm Jason Goodreau from Springfield, Illinois. Thanks for letting me share this journey with you all. I'm the Director of Technology and Tech Curriculum as well as a teacher for Sacred Heart - Griffin High School in Springfield. Prior to that I served as the DoT for the Pleasant Plains School District - a rural unit district in central Illinois. I began my career in the St. Louis and St. Louis metro area as a tech manager and teacher for various schools which gave me the opportunity to learn about the mechanizations of schools in an urban setting.

I feel blessed to be able to network with professionals such as you! I am here to learn from the vast pool of knowledge, expertise, and experience here. I also want to share whatever I can to make things a little better for you if possible.

Thanks all!
