I'm playing an April Fool's Joke on my Students!

I've always thought that the best classroom behavior management strategy is for the teacher to become the class clown. So to practice what I preach, I decided to play a little joke on my students in honor of April Fools! Check out the pictures below!

When students enter my classroom this morning, they will find no chairs and be greeted by this message!

After the reveal, I will take my students to a closet where they will be able to retrieve their seats. At the end of the period, I will let them hide the chairs to pull the prank on the next class.

Many of my 1st period students were thoroughly confused. I think a few of them actually believed it! When I revealed my prank, my students cracked up. It was funny to see their reactions throughout the day. By 7th period, most of my earlier classes had spoiled the surprise so my students knew that it was a prank.

Pretty funny! lolol..I can imagine their faces. One of our teachers came in on crutches and had everyone waiting on her all day. Her version of April Fool's!
