A student in my multimedia classroom was inspired to create Sticks and Stones after witnessing the verbal abuse some students are subjected to on a daily basis. Her goal was to create a piece that would make people take a look at how hurtful their actions can be. The film has received several honors to date.
-Runner up at the 6th Annual AHA Student Film Festival
-1st place at the EIU Feminist Film Festival
-It is currently a finalist for the Butler University Film Festival
-It is also being used in different classrooms to teach tolerance
I hope you enjoy.
Best,
-joe
