This blog post is inspired by Brad Chapin's thoughts and way too much twittering lately.
Okay, I'm not sure if it's ASD, ADHD or ADD nor am I certain if it impacts the children and/or the adults in our family (both immediate and extended of course). What I am certain about? Gluten-free and dairy/caisen (what IS caisen anyway?)-free food choices make a world of difference… Continue

I'm always looking for tools and resources that making teaching and learning online easier for both educators and students. In that quest, I was intrigued by the ease implied in the name EditMe. So, what is it?
It's a Blog. It's a Wiki. It's an Intranet. It's a Website.
And, not only is it super easy to use, it's also respectful:
Instead of demanding credit card information in exchange for a free trial and then hoping users will forget to unsubscribe,… Continue

Generally when I discover a new resource I'm pretty good at extrapolating its use across a myriad of situations. This isn't the case with YourTake http://www.yourtake.org. This is probably a non-issue that I need to "get over" because Your Take looks to be an intriguing tool for developing thought, as well as empathy, among students.
I think my reality is that I really want a reason to be able to use it and in writing this out (thank you Class… Continue

Classroom 2.0 is one of my single best resources for networking with tech-savvy educators. So, I started thinking about those other tools where I interact with and learn from folks.
Connected through LinkedIN?
I must confess LinkedIN was my first venture into online networking. While the community is made up of far more business minded folk than teachers, the education sector is ever-growing.
Consider joining the… Continue

I just wasted several minutes with Bomomo http://bomomo.com/ (and I gotta tell ya, it was fun!). Please tell me if you've got a "more worthy" application for this "tool." Thanks!
While investigating a tad farther, I discovered Games for the Brain http://www.gamesforthebrain.com/. The good news here is that my enjoyment level seemed to directly correlate with my increased time involvement. AND, I can claim it's all i… Continue

Okay, I'm not sure it's love yet but I'm definitely intrigued and Dabbleboard has seriously piqued my interest. Should they add a general embed code for sharing it may just push me over the edge.

Check out Drawminos (http://drawminos.com) for some good ole fashion 5 year old type fun. The name really over delivers in cleverness but I still lost several minutes to this almost engaging activity and my son loves it.
And what is it that has me losing lots of time (I mean doing serious time in the name of online 'research?'). Visit Zoopz (http:zoopz.com) and tell me how to get past Level 11… Continue
