I have become more aware in areas of whole group actitivies. I have such a large range of abilities and ages (3 to 5) that I need ways to keep all the children involved. I have started using a lot of music in my teaching such as with the alphabet and sounds. We also change the routine at times and regularly change the activity for the day. We also change the toys regularly and give the children choices throughout the day on what they do. We also do a different routine every Friday with an extra special activity for the children. I want to be more mindful of ways to create the consistancy that many of the children need along with enough variety to keep the children interested and on task.
